Wanted to like but uncomfy

I really love the way it looks, but the end with the hinge gets several hairs stuck in it each time you take the clip out and ends up ripping a few hairs in half or out completely each time you use it.
I have a barrette from another brand which doesn’t rip any hairs out or get any hairs caught so it is something to do with the mechanism.
